I've changed falling dreams into flying dreams.:D^I think that time I either got too scared to maintain lucidity or was about to wake up anyway.

I did that recently. I have dreams where I'm teetering on the edge of a huge cliff and I'm scared I'm going to fall, and usually wake myself up, but the last time I felt I was going to fall I literally leapt off the cliff hoping I was dreaming and that I could fly, and off I went. Sorted! No more fear of teetering on the edge.

Not particularly remarkable powers from one-time or recurring dreams (not permanent additions to my arsenal):

1. The ability to shout at unrealistic decibels. The consequence is that it always echoes back at me louder than before.
2. The power to move through solid objects at will. Repercussions are that I cannot interact with anything.
3. The ability to see through opaque objects at will, without removing visibility of said opaque objects.
4. The power to nudge fate with enough force of will. The consequence is that I'm too tired to do it repeatedly, so if something else I want to manipulate comes along too soon, I have to accept it as is.

There are a few that I always have in dreams that have actually leaked into my waking life (permanent additions to real life that came from dreaming first):

1. The ability to feel the intentions of others through some unknown translation of the mind.
2. By some extension of the previous one, a limited ability to read the thoughts of immediate-future action via intentions of others. This is not infallible, but it is certainly reliable. People with greater strength of mind are more immune to it.
3. Also by some extension of the first one, the ability to identify the personalities of others in-depth, to a level beyond that of the subject himself/herself. Gets deeper and more accurate the more I use it. Extended exposure to a subject also improves results. Highly reliable, and likely directly connected to the second one mentioned.

There are two powers of special note that seem to only get stronger (more potent) each time I dream about having them. They have been developments over the course of my dreaming life, interestingly enough (permanent additions to my dreaming life, but not real life):

1. The ability to focus some kind of invisible thrusting wave through my body to give myself a pseudo-flight form of self-levitation. This becomes more second-nature each time I dream of being able to do it. This used to put a strain on my mind and my leg muscles, particularly the forelegs, but not anymore.
2. The ability to feel some invisible magnetic connection between me and other objects in order to bring them to my outstretched hand. This also increases in potency each time I dream of being able to do it. This is a relatively new power though, so as of yet I can only attract light objects such as paper plates, writing utensils, bouncy-balls, etc. with about two seconds of focus time prior to getting results. The distance limit seems to be about 3 meters so far. Doing this seems to put a strain on my mind and my arm muscles, particularly the wrist.

In some dreams I'm a witch, in some I can glide, soar or bounce. Lately, though, I've been sleeping too deeply/too tired to dream.

Me too! I believe that too! That's why even though I know I could develop the ability to lucid dream, I don't. I feel like when the conscious overrides the unconscious, the message will be lost. Of course, I could just experience lucid dreaming and keep myself grounded when I do it, like you, but that would take too much mental energy, as I have a very complex mind and in my waking hours I am always keeping myself grounded already. I'd prefer my sleepping time to be relaxing time, with no mental restraint.:)

Re: Lucid Abilities, what are yours?

Post by MindfulDreamer » Sat Nov 16, 2013 4:59 am

Now this is an interesting topic for me because my supernatural abilities that I possess in dreams have evolved greatly over the years as I've learned new techniques in honing my craft of dream manipulation. When I was younger, still an adolescent, I started having dreams where I could perform simple tasks like levitation, but nothing really out of this world. It wasn't until my early to mid 20's that something profound happened in my waking life that truly changed my perspective of what was really possible in terms of what the mind could conjure up. What I'm going to tell you next that has truly opened my mind to an almost unlimited realm of lucid dreaming was something I sort of stumbled upon haphazardly through a friend and that I honestly don't recommend as way of transcendence for most people because of the inherent danger. One night several years ago, on Halloween of all days, I was introduced to a drug called Salvia Divornium, a very powerful hallucinogenic compound, legal in the state of Illinois at the time, that is not at all long lasting, but has an almost immediate onset, where your mind goes from well grounded in reality to Alice falling down the rabbit hole in a matter of seconds. Problem for me was that I I'm not a habitual drug user at all and had never done any hallucinogens before in my entire life, but peer pressure got the best of me that night. The experience was more powerful emotionally than anything I've ever experienced in my life...it was to be blunt a total mind fuck that I never saw coming and in that moment I thought would never end. In my visionary state I was outside of my body, in third person shooter mode, having overlapping consciences, and falling through space like a domino down an endless labryinth. At that moment I had totally forgotten I had smoked the drug and actually believed that I had passed away in my mind. The reason I bring this episode to attention is because it was in reality a dream of my subconscious that was essentially a transitionary mental state between total consciousness and being asleep. I was able to see the 4th dimension which is time...something that seems so static to us and hard to conceptualize as a physical dimension. Imagine a reel a film, cut into segmented strips, each frame just a picture, but put together and run in sequence through a projector(the mind), what you experience in a fluid movie. In my lucid dream state of mind I could visualize time as these physical chucks of space, each in succession of one another. The most amazing thing I saw which still kind of haunts me to this day because of the implications was that every segment of time had a direct influence on what the next segment of time would be, in other words there was a direct cause and effect relationship to everything beyond my mental and physical control. In essence there was no free will and I could actually predict the immediate future with infinite certainty of what someone would say or do given a set pattern of events and how each person would move through space in a given moment. This idea is so scary to me because it seems to imply that free will is simply an illusion of our minds...just like a fish inside a glass bowl might imagine the world outside of the bowl to be a watery abyss, governed by the same rules of its environment, yet it is not the truth. The fish simply cannot see the bigger picture because he is perceptually blind to that reality as we may be perceptually limited in our normal conscious state as to what our own reality is really like. Just look at the laws of nature and it becomes painfully obvious that everything is governed by the same universal rules without expection. No matter how many times I drop an apple, it will allows fall downward...from the moment I let it go it's course of action is already predetermined. I cannot will it to change its course, predetermined laws that existed since the conception of the universe have already decided that for me. I hate to think this way, but what if that all there is to it, in regards that once an event is set in motion, there is no stopping the chain of repercussions that follow...If you're reading this I apologize because I'm going way off topic from the original story I was trying to tell about lucid dream control...this has just been burning in my mind recently. I could write a small novel about this theoretical concept, but I think I'll stop because I'm probably pissing the dream community off right now. Anyways if you have any input on this let me know your thoughts or experiences.

I've gotten quite skilled at what I can do in lucid dream state. A lot of times though I use my powers for destructive purposes...maybe I need counseling. In most of these dreams I am able to fly to some degree, I have telekinetic powers where I can pick up things like bats, people, and even vehicles and throw them violently. Lately I've even discovered the ability to summon creatures out of thin air and even change things into other objects. I remember one dream where I was in the back seat of the car with my family in what looked like to be a Walmart parking lot when I suddenly realized it was a dream so I wanted to have some fun with the people in the vicinity so I just said the word "Dragon" out loud and closed my eyes in the dream than opened them to see this medieval dragon screeching across the sky and than proceeding to demolish Walmart..it was a ball! Than it started to get too close to us so I shouted,"Friendly Dragon" and he suddenly became docile and affectionate toward humans. Usually the creatures I bring to life in dreams have a more sadistic undertone and I've even scared myself shitless on occassion. Then I wake up and reality sucks all over again...

I'm still a beginner to lucid dreaming, so my teleportation is not professional, i.e. I sometimes dont go where I want to go. But, anger and rage inside my dreams allowed me to disintegrate people, environment and objects. I can will people to do what I want. I still didn't fly though. And if I don't want someone around, I will him to be someone else. Like if I'm tired of arguing with my sister, I simply swap her with my father and continue the conversation as if my father was here all along.

I have two main dreamselves I use depending on which dreamworld I'm in.

Frost is a winter sprite from the dreamworld of the mythical heroes; sort of alternate reality. I can use ice magic, go invisible, manipulate weather to my needs, and manipulate the North Wind to fly.
Ten is the last prince of the Cats in the dreamworld of zodiac quest; which takes place 3,038 years ago in what appears to be medieval Europe yet all the other people/creatures have Japanese names. I can transform between human and cat at will, use fire magic, heal quickly, and never die {I made a deal with one of the "gods" of the dreamworld}.
I've also had a few dreams with a dreamself that created himself, and I don't have full control over "my" actions. Az seems to be a [fallen?] angel with burgundy wings and irises, tends to wear mostly black {one dream was wearing a black pullover hoodie with a cerulean "Scorpio" sign on it, the other was wearing a black hooded cloak}, and hates humanity with a passion. He has control over fire, doesn't die, knows when and how the others will die, and controls angels of death / reapers / whatever you want to call them.

I once was able to "turn off" my dream. I was walking with someone on a desert road and was telling him how "it's possible to stop your dream when you don't like it, by just closing your eyes, which will normally wake you up". For some reason, I didn't like that dream, so I closed my eyes, but instead of waking up, the dream just turned off and I kept sleeping. I thought it was amazing to turn off the dream at will without ruining my sleep.

One lucid ability I have seem to, i guess "develope" is the ability to speak whats on my mind at any given moment. Normaly I'm being controled by my mind but now (when I get really deep into a dream) I control my own mind.
But every song is like
Gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room,
We don't care, we're driving cadillacs in our dreams... ~ RO¥ALS

I feel like a lucid dreaming veteran!

I often can create characters/people I know in real life who I want in my dream, and control how they act. And of course, I can control how I act myself!
I can also change myself into someone/something else, if I think of it in the dream.
I also can create new situations that I want!

Sometimes, I'll have more ideas in my dream. Sometimes my creativity are limited. But I always know I have the power to do these things, once I realize I'm dreaming:DI'm basically in full control of what happens next!

Hi i'm new here. I was perusing the threads, and this caught my eye.
My abilities, Flying (Either winged, or without) travelling among the stars looking at other planets unaided (By that i mean without a spaceship).
I can't make my mind up if my dreams are lucid, or astral travelling, i don't care one way or another, i get an overwhelming feeling of freedom when i have such dreams, i can't describe it.
Oh!, and excuse my ignorance, how can i post up a signature:oops:

I know now that flying dreams are generally considered lucid.

So how do I explain all my non-lucid flying dreams?

Ever since I learned that flying dreams were lucid I've had more of them and even one or two scenarios where in the middle of the dream I'm randomly like, "Can I fly today?" (This actually made me laugh out loud when I stopped to consider it in the waking world.) And sometimes I can and sometimes I can't.

I'm a little odd as far as lucid dreams go because i remember 4 to 6 dreams a night and i always realize i'm dreaming. I found that i can take control of any dream i have at any moment i want and do absolutely anything. I once felt like battling monsters so i created a 5 snake headed creature, with the torso of a human and the legs of a rhino. He looked kinda funny because he stood like a human an rhino's legs are very thick compared to human legs.
I've teleported, shot lasers from my eyes, flew, made objects move, created a futuristic city, bathed in caramel (a weird thing i want to try... i really love caramel), harming my enemies (good outlet for my anger), adult things(i'll leave that to interpretation) and just plain destroyed my dreamscape and floated in a white background. Honestly anything i can think of, the only limit is the detail of larger things. The larger i go the less detailed it is until i focus on smaller parts, then the rest begins to blur.
I guess this is all because i did not learn to lucid dream, I've been able to do it for as long as i can remember and thought it was normal until recently.

I'm still trying to figure out how to fully lucid dream. Dream journals don't seem to work, but slowly on my own I'm finding that I'm becoming a bit more aware in my dreams. I slowly pick up that something isn't right, or that something isn't natural. But I haven't yet put all the pieces together to fully realize I'm dreaming and that I can do anything. 'xD But I'm working on it! I would love to be able to do the amazing, wonderful things you all can do, because it all sounds so incredible.:)It makes me so excited to learn and experiment, if only I can get past the first barricade which is my lack of sense of knowing.

I can change my environment, buy anything I want because I have endless money, I can do sexual desires I'm not brave enough to attempt in person, I can fly...rarely.... I actually hate flying in my dreams, I can beat the crap out of people... I can pretty much do whatever I want. I lucid dream all the time. Which I just recently found out is a rare thing. But I would say 1 out of 3 dreams are lucid for me and I recall my dreams about 3-5 times a week. Usually the only time i have 100% control over my dream is when it was a bad/scary dream and I realize i'm dreaming so I do everything in my power to just completely change the dream around because if I don't i'm going to wake up through out the night and would prefer to just keep sleeping.

:lol:I think I got no abilities, seriously... when I sometimes realize that "I'm dreaming" I'm just like..."oh it's a dream so I can fly:D" *jumps and falls*:(Or "I gonna have superpowers" *raises hands nothing happens*
I mean, sometimes when it's a nightmare I force myself to wake and it works, but takes a little to work. Other times it seems I do what I want in a dream, but afterwards it feels like I did what I was supposed to do, you know?
Once I was on a dream that felt like a game and I was killing monster/people (I don't know) and I went thru a door and suddenly there were lots of people and I was like "I'm trapped...no,no, let's restart it" And that just happened, like when you reload a saved game.:P
I have yet to learn how to control a dream like you guys do, pretty impressive, I must say.

I have went from jumping higher and higher like there's low gravity to flying low to the ground very fast, I can move objects with my mind(rarely), walk through walls, and just be aware of the world around me and know that I'm dreaming.

wow 1 in 3? really? that's amazing. I have maybe one a week and its early in the morning or if I take a nap during the day. I love to fly. I used to only bounce like a ball, or like low gravity, but now I can fly low to the ground a very high speeds. I rarely go up high though.. I'm not afraid of heights, so I'm not sure why I cant. I try, but when I do I fall, so I stay low so I can stay up... wow that makes since now that I said lol. when I first realize I'm dreaming I like to look a fine details like if I'm outside, i'll get on my hands and knees and look at the blades of grass. I constantly remind myself I'm dreaming and it helps me stay lucid and keeps everything vivid. at first I would get too excited and the environment would change rapidly or I'd just wake up, so now when I become aware I say to myself I'm dreaming, calm down, and it just gets more and more amazing from there

none. haha. but i know "in the back of my head" that im dreaming. i cant explain it. i cant come out and say "im dreaming" but i can feel it in the back of my mind, so i can pause, change, rewind, etc.. my dreams. i can even recall past dreams if i have a reminder of them. for example being in the city i "built", i would pass my tower/castle and think "oh i remember my first time there" or i can pass my field and think "i remember when the building that was there fell" or i can pass my creepy church and say "im not going in there, its creepy" or i can pass my bakery/candy store and think "i should go in and get something, they have good stuff!" the one thing i CANT do in my city is keep people out! UGH. it used to be just me and 1 or 2 peolple i would invite, now there is always a TON of people in there and i just want to be by myself! i created this city, why cant i get some alone time?? ugh. lol. when im awake i actually worry its being run down by all the "people" hahahahaha.

I feel like when I lucid dream I sometimes wander into other people's dreams. I always know when I meet someone in a dream and I feel like I can tell that they actually have a soul and aren't a part of my brain.

Finally able to enter a dream in a different form from the start. I guess shape shifting in the beginning is no longer required.

After reading some of the replies, I'm sure my lucid dreams may not sound very profound. I see images in my mind's eye. For example, I had to file a claim for vandalism to my personal property. While speaking to my adjustor, I saw fire. My brother has kept some of my property hostage for several years and now I have to file a civil suit against him; three months later, he had a house fire and he tossed out items that belonged to me.

One of my spirit guides hides jewelry he doesn't want me to wear in public and speaks to me through music, games and last night led me to "attempt" to use the word "Mexi-cad" which was hilarious (and of course there's a story behind it). My guides show me pictures, like photographs, sends me messages in my dreams and has even shown me physical images and given me knowledge that can only be regarded as psychic.

I've seen spirit images of people (who are still alive) walking alongside others and often wake up from real sleep to lucid dreams that come true. Most of the time, though, what I "see" is in my third eye, not the physical eye. Some unrelated image might pop into my mind or a phrase that is unexpected. I consider a lot of this information is given to me for a reason and it is a gift I treasure. Sometimes, it is for the purpose of helping someone else but other times, it is for my own protection.

Anything . Literally anything, as long as I don't doubt myself. This happens in all my dreams, except they're usually not lucid. In my regular dreams, if I think something will happen, it will. (For instance, last night, in my dream, some kid was throwing water balloons at me. When I thought "oh, he missed", the balloon would miss. But when I thought "that one will probably hit me", it hit me." The best thing is when I go into a fully aware lucid dream. The last one I had, I flew over some trees and mountains, I visited my friends' houses, etc. It was wild and awesome.
I can't wait for my next lucid dream.:dreams::excited:

I mastered all Force powers in my lucid dreams. Now I'm trying to create projections of Sith, Jedi and Mandalorians for a full-scale war.

A few days ago I was so angry at a person who destroyed a place and a certain person and jelous that she got the same powers I had that I got angry! No one goes in my way especially if its my goals! Thats what I thought when I dashed at her (like a small jump and suddenly full speeding towards her) and slamed her by the neck and glasses where everywhere then I repeatedly slam her to the walls ot floor while holding her by the foot and I'm sure I also levitated some chair and then I threw the woman in the sky where a moon crashed her i dont know where that moon came from and one time I tried making a net wrap around my enemies knife which almost woke me up by doing so

I can fly at will, although it almost like leaping sometimes, unrestricted, through walls and floors. I have telekinesis, but often times when I use this ability, an ominous feeling begins to come over me, like the evil nature of my actions have summoned demons or something awful. Lately, I have been able to affect change to the environment that I am in, like adding something or changing the structure in some way, but I have not mastered this yet, especially when I am aware of the fact that I am dreaming, however, the more aware I become, the more difficult this becomes.

Very accomplished because of this. If it's not the next day that my dream warns me of, than it's in the future, but not too far ahead. 3 months before I found out I was pregnant, I had dreams of me blonde and pregnant, always wearing pink. almost 10 months later, I had a baby girl. I've always had this repetive dream about me shivering cold in the snow naked under a lamp post. Just sitting there with my arms wrapped around my knees. My long black hair was covering my arms as I rested my forehead on them. I had that dream at 6! When I was 14 I was committed into an insane asylum. I was doing drugs, had piercings, listened to manson, and jet black long hair. After they checked me in the stuck me in the shower naked with only cold water and told me to cleanse myself. I sat there on the floor with my forehead on my arms... shivering. Everyone tells me that I'm crazy. One day when God begins the 7 years of hell, people will see that God put me here for a reason. God is using me to help.

My dreams aren't just for myself. They're for everyone. Specific people; I find those people. This is what my life is about.

My dreams do as well. Ever since I was a little girl I've had dreams that foreshadowed real life events. It made me so afraid that I taught myself how to induce my own dreams that I can control. I sometimes solve big mathematical equations in my sleep. I replay scenes from books I've read. Also I go around the world doing many different things. I do my best not to fall asleep unprepared. The onslaught of images is just too much to bare sometimes.

I see the future in my dreams without me knowing but its hard to remember them most of the time... My brother said that everyone dreams of the future sometimes just like when he was just a kid. Maybe this runs in the family and some people? anyways thats not a lucid ability its like a natural ability but still, you cant stop dreaming of the future so that doesnt count as a lucid ability

I had:

-energy manipulation

-summon guns from nowhere

-I think I teleported

And I think two of my classmates where there and I was so sure our dreams where connected because I tought them how to become lucid and even explained what lucid dreams mean but the next day I didnt ask if they had the same dream because I'm too shy but I was so sure our dreams where connected at that time because in the middle of my lecture I asked myself if our dreams where connected

All in one dream a few weeks/days ago ^-^ For some reason I cant bare to transform into any animal or anyone because it makes my body feel weird..

Lucid dreaming isn't just be in able to control your dream it is the ability to know when your are dreaming and to be able to exercise any control at all in it. If I can dream of the future and I know what is happening so I try to walk away or try to close my "eyes" to what im seeing or even bring myself out of a dream and place myself in a new dream of my own design that is the very definition of lucid dreaming.

I can't do any of that stuff. Whenever I'm lucid dreaming I always try to summon my crush and make out with them. Doesn't really work
